Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

Describe the recent findings in the pathophysiology of neurologic and behavioral disorders
Discuss surgical strategies for the treatment of movement disorders, chronic pain, epilepsy, psychiatric disorders, and Parkinson’s disease
Discuss new applications of deep brain stimulation and other forms of neuromodulation
Discuss emerging neuro-ablation therapies, including radiosurgery and focused ultrasound
Apply recent advances in research to the clinical practice of functional neurosurgery
Discuss new methods of surgical navigation, including their benefits and shortcomings
