Objetivos de la ASSFN

The principal object of this Society shall be to form Asian and Australasian organization to foster the study and teaching of better treatment of persons afflicted with injuries, lesions, diseases and abnormalities of the brain. The purpose of this Society shall be as follows:

To foster the use of stereotactic and functional neurosurgical methods for the treatment of diseases of the nervous system.
To advance stereotactic and functional neurosurgery and related sciences, to improve patient care, to support meaningful basic and clinical research, to provide leadership in undergraduate and graduate education and continuing education, and to promote administrative facilities necessary to achieve these goals.

The society shall strive to achieve its objects in particular through:

Congresses and lectures as well as scientific publications.
Personal contact and close relationship among the members themselves and with physicians and paraclinical scientists in all specialised fields related to stereotactic and functional surgery of the nervous system.
